Tools of the Catholic part 2: Catechism of the Catholic Church

What is the Catechism of the Catholic Church and why is it important?

Simply put, it is the entire Catholic Faith in book form.

At one time or another all of us have had questions of one kind or another regarding our Catholic Faith.  There are many resources, in books, on the Internet, through radio or TV or at your Church, where one can find reliable answers.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church is the document that all of these other resources are highly likely to reference for the answer.  I can say without reservation that literally any question you might have regarding the Catholic Faith is answered somewhere in its pages.

Some people might be worried that its a hard read, but in reality it's quite straight forward in it's language.

You could read it from start to finish and that's great goal but one of it's best uses is as a reference book when you want to answer a particular question or research a certain section of the Catholic Faith.  It's well indexed so its pretty easy to find just what your looking for.

There are online versions but I would strongly recommend buying a hard copy which I feel is easier and quicker to flip through.
